TOMORROW: Youth on Record at the Denver Press Club

Hey folks! It’s me, Ann.

First off - a very belated thanks to everyone who made it to last month’s event with Sarah Wambold! She’s the mastermind behind the podcast Immaterial, as well as the brand new creative studio Headroom Media. This conversation was truly a gift for museum nerds like me. Thank you to Sarah for joining us!

I am quite stoked to be taking the lead on our event this week featuring Youth on Record. If you’re not familiar, this organization empowers young people to express themselves through art, music, and media production. You will recognize them if you’ve been to the Underground Music Showcase in recent years! YoR’s Media Arts internship is the real deal, and I have had the privilege of getting to know a handful of these talented young people (and even hiring one of them!).

This Friday, Sept 26 at 6:30 PM, we’ll be joined by David Ladon, the arts educator and award-winning children’s musician who leads the Media Arts program at Youth on Record, as well as three members of their media team: Lucy Richardson, Tongjai Lee, and Miah Edwards. All three are former Media Arts interns, and we’ll get a chance to hear samples of their work.
