It’s me, Ann. I’m excited to share our final guest for the year, in what promises to be an absolutely dreamy discussion. On Dec. 12, join us for a conversation with Laurie Polisky, a Denver-based documentarian working on a podcast about dream technology. Yes, kind of like Inception.

Laurie is an award-winning filmmaker, editor, composer and podcaster. While she's simultaneously directing and producing her independent projects, she’s currently editing a feature for the Oscar-winning teams behind NAVALNY and EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE. Before this, she produced and scored DEAR ALANA (2023), a #1 Apple Podcast and 4x nominee and winner at the 2024 Ambie awards.

Josh Mattison and Laurie will discuss the parallels between documentary filmmaking and indie podcasting, and play exclusive clips from a never-before-heard podcast in development about the future stakes of what we fondly call reality.

What happens when technology enters our dreaming minds? Neurotech that can influence and even record our dreams could be the next space race. Two filmmaker-scientist hosts explore topics like lucid dreaming, PTSD nightmares, dream hacking, virtual reality, memory, creativity, meditation, and indigenous dreamwork. Featuring expert interviews, immersive sci-fi stories, and dream experiments that you can try at home.
