A November breather 😮‍💨

Hello folks, it’s me Ann.

Thanks so much to Chris Walker for being our guest speaker for October, and thanks to everyone who was able to make it! Be sure to check out Chris’ excellent podcast Blood Vines.

We are taking the month of November off, but mark your calendars for Dec 12. Our last speaker of the year will be the talented audio producer and documentarian Laurie Polisky! More details to come.

Finally, if you were lucky enough to make it to our very first event all the way back in February, a few founding members of Colorado Radio for Justice were our guest speakers. If you missed out, here’s the scoop - CRJ is a nonprofit media agency and workforce training program based in Denver that empowers people impacted by the criminal-legal system in Colorado and beyond. When they joined us earlier this year, they had just launched. It’s been a privilege to watch them grow and expand the important work they’re doing since then! They’ve launched their 24/7 broadcast signal, four original podcasts, a community DJ program, they’re now officially a registered apprenticeship program with the state of Colorado, the list goes on and on.

On Dec 9, CRJ is throwing its WAVES OF IMPACT Party, with a live DJ, food, and a silent auction, to share their work and raise funds for 2026. Grab a ticket for the party and be a part of the engine behind CRJ! Celebrate a successful year and support the future of this work.
